Blocked toilets occur when there is an obstruction physically blocking the system from flushing. To fix a blocked toilet, flush it and use a toilet plunger to plunge through the blockage. Try not to flush the toilet while blocked or it may overflow.
Toilet isn’t clogged, but won’t flush:
If a toilet won’t flush, take off the cover on the back of the toilet. Make sure the component that attached to the flushing lever is in good condition and working properly.
See if your device can be powered from another outlet. If the outlet is the issue, reset the switch on the circuit breaker to try and reset the system.
Entire property doesn’t have power:
If your neighbors have power, but you don’t, head to the circuit breaker box. See if power returns upon resetting it. If it doesn’t work, call your local electric company and let them know whats going on.
Sometimes your pipes will only run cold. Check your water heater tank thermostat and verify that everything is in proper order. You can also try resetting the unit and seeing if that will reheat the water.
This is commonly a problem with the thermostat. Observe your thermostat and make sure it is set and working correctly. You can also try to reset the unit. If all else fails, call your utilities provider.
